There are wide variety of scars seen on the skin. They can range from flat dark or white scars to deep pitted scarring seen in acne to raised hypertrophic or keloidal scarring seen after over healing of skin tissues. There is no one treatment that would address these different types of scars.

Treating scars can be a complex decision depending upon the type of scar, its location and the type and quality of skin to be treated. The treatment range will include non invasive treatments such as topical creams and silicone gel sheets, minimally invasive treatments such as microdermabrasion and microneedling to invasive treatments with the use of lasers and excision of scars. Also in the mix are the light treatments using intense pulsed light or pulsed dye lasers, chemical peeling and injecting dermal fillers to improve the scars.

What treatment options will be needed for you particular scarring treatment can only be determined after a detailed consultation and a careful clinical examination.

We value your feedback which also helps us to reflect and learn. At times we may call you after your treatment to check the results and to discuss any adjustments if needed.
