Benign Lesions

Benign Lesions

There are a range of lesions on the skin that can be a source of annoyance. These are benign growths and can be symptomatic in awkward areas such as the neck, underarms, waistline, under the bra straps or the groins. They have the potential to get irritated due to repeated catching or scratching. Treatment is usually not required unless they need to be removed because of irritation or due to cosmetic reasons. Seborrheic keratosis, warts, haemangiomas or red spots which are also known as cherry hemangiomas, skin tags, milia and benign moles are some of these lesions. All these lesions can be treated with a simple procedure under a local anaesthetic.
